Eric Watts
Chief Executive Officer
Eric Watts joined GenOn in December 2018 as Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for the oversight of all commercial aspects surrounding GenOn's generation fleet. He has more than 25 years of diversified energy marketing experience, most recently serving as Talen Energy’s Senior Vice President responsible for all commercial optimization activities. Prior to Talen, Eric was Executive Vice President responsible for all power trading, origination, asset management and environmental products for Twin Eagle Resource Management. Before that, he was Dynegy’s Senior Vice President-Commercial Operations where he led the company’s commercial functions. Prior to joining Dynegy, he was a Gas Supply Representative at Excel Resources and at Panhandle Eastern Corp. Eric earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Real Estate at the University of Texas at Austin.
Mark Gouveia
Senior Vice President, Operations
Mark Gouveia has served as Senior Vice President Operations of GenOn since September 2017. Mark began his career with PG&E in 1980, starting as an entry-level plant operator at the Geysers Geothermal Power Plant and ending as Plant Manager for Pittsburg and Contra Costa Power Plants. From 1999-2017, he held various key plant operations roles with NRG and predecessor companies, including Vice President of East Operations, Vice President of Power Generation for Mirant and Chief Operating Officer, Mirant California. Mark brings extensive experience in managing coal, gas and oil plants of different technologies in a variety of commercial roles.
Holly Anderson
General Counsel
Holly Anderson joined GenOn as the General Counsel and Secretary in April of 2022. Prior to joining GenOn, Holly served as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Riviera Resources, an independent exploration and production company. Before Riviera Resources’ spin-off from LINN Energy, Inc., she served as Linn Energy’s Vice President and Assistant General Counsel. Holly has more than 15 years of energy related M&A experience. Prior to joining LINN, she was as an Associate Attorney at Thompson & Knight LLP. Holly earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the University of Houston.
